HSC 2010 Maharashtra Board Topper

Mumbai: In what is a first, the Maharashtra HSC Board has today declared results of HSC students online on the www.mahresult.nic.in website. This year the board is also not releaving the names of the HSC Board Toppers leaving thestudents who studied hard for a year guessing as to their performance. Currently the Overall Topper in the Science Stream most likely is a Goregaon girl who secured a brilliant 577/600 scoring 96.17% overall at HSC 2010.

Sayali Rajwade, a student of Patkar College in Goregoan suburb of Mumbai has claimed what seems to be the highest overall marks in Mumbai in HSC 2010. Sayali scored a remarkable 577 marks out of 600 losing just 23 marks in the 5 subjects she appeared for. Her individual marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are 98, 97 and 98 respectively.

Says Sayali "My parents were my biggest motivation. The professors helped me to understand the concepts throughly well. The overall excellent guideance enabled me to finish my portion faster so I got more time for multiple revisions. I feel this was one of the biggest factors in my successfull performance. I'm really excited and hope for good results even in MHT-CET."

In terms of PCM Topper (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics), two students have scored a spectacular 295 out of 300. The students, Tushar Jain from Jai-Hind College and Sayli Bote from K.V. Patil College scored 295/300 translates into 97.33% in PCM which is amongst the highest scores in the last few years at the HSC Board.

Bijal Amlani from Thakur College, Kadivali scored a flawless 100/100 in Mathematics.

HSC Science Maharashtra Board PHYSICS Topper

Siddharth Nishar, a Ruparel student scored a flawless 100/100 in Physics, not losing even a mark in a subject that is widely considered the toughest by HSCstudents . Siddharth attributes his performance in Physics to the multiple practice he got for each chapter. "I ended up solving numeicals on the same chapter in 7-8 different formats through  Notes, Tutorials, Chapter-Tests and so on".

The HSC Science trends reflect that most of the students have lost more marks in Chemistry in comparison to Maths and Physics. Number of students who have done well in Biology continues to be low as only students who are keen on Medicine as a career usually focus on Biology. Overall the results have been good as many students have scored 270 or above in PCM.
