nagpur :- Naxals kill elderly person in Gadchiroli

A group of armed Naxalites killed an elderly person in Malanda village of Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra, police said today.

Janglu Mahadev Pada, 65, was attacked with sharp weapons by Maoists last night at his residence when he was asleep, they said.

The Naxals suspected Pada to be police informer.

Police patrol parties have been rushed to the village to take stock of the situation, police added.
