Mumbai, Aug 9 (PTI) Maharashtra Governor and Chancellor of universities K Sankaranarayan today appointed Search Committees to select Vice Chancellors for four universities in the state including Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik. Renowned educationist, administrator and former UGC chairman, Dr Hari Gautam will be the Chairman of the Search Committee for selection of Vice Chancellor of MUHS. Dr Ramesh Chandra Deka, Director, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and Milind Mhaiskar, Secretary, Medical Education and Drugs Department, Government of Maharashtra, have been named as the other members of the Committee. The post of the Vice-Chancellor of MUHS has been lying vacant since December 21 last year. Other universities for which search committees have been appointed are Rashtra Sant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur, Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani and Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri, Ahmednagar district. The Search committee for Nagpur university will be headed by Justice A P Shah, Retired Chief Justice, Delhi High Court, a Raj Bhavan release said. Dr Ramesh Chandra Deka, Director, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, and T C Benjamin, Principal Secretary, Urban Development Department are the other members of the Search Committee appointed by the Governor.(MORE)PTI LV AT
