NAGPUR :- Vande Mataram' at Yeshwant Stadium on September

 On the occasion of its 105 {+t} {+h} anniversary, over 40,000 students from 120 schools will sing the national song 'Vande Mataram' at Yeshwant Stadium on September 7 at 8 am.

The event has been jointly organised by the education department of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation ( NMC) and Maitree Parivar. Maharashtra chief minister Ashok Chavan, deputy chief minister Chhagan Bhujbal, home minister R R Patil and other dignitaries will be present.

"Apart from singing Vande Mataram, students will also line-up to form a map of India. While doing so they will also depict the tricolour," said mayor Archana Dehankar.

Chief of Maitree Pariwar, Sanjay Bhende and secretary Anup Sachdev said that the NGO has organised pick up and drop facility for students. "We have also arranged for an ambulance and a fire brigade in case there's an emergency. Our team works for social causes which include tree plantation. Our target is to plant 1 lakh saplings. We have already planted 22,000." Commissioner of police, Ankush Dhanvijay will make students take oath regarding obeying traffic rules. Janakrosh, Indian Medical Association and traffic cops will organise programmes to create awareness.
