Car-smashing thieves lift bag containing cash, laptop

Car-smashing thieves decamped with a bag containing cash and a laptop collectively worth Rs 98,000 from a car parked near Agaram Devi Square on Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred when Amol Bhanot (40), a resident of Shivaji Nagar, parked his vehicle and crossed the road to get tickets from a travel agency. The miscreants then smashed the car windows and lifted the bag kept in the rear seat. The bag had Rs 50,000 in cash, a laptop and four foreign passports. Ganeshpeth police have registered a case.
