Vidarbha has some reason to rejoice as city lads made everyone proud by securing the first position in the AIPMT exams. Jitendra Yadav finished first in AIPMT (mains exam 2011 CBSE) with an All India Ranking (AIR) of 386 and Bivas Kumar secured the second position with an AIR of 495. They give credit of their success to a city-based coaching institute where they were regular students. They also qualified for the written exam of AFMC ( Armed Forces Medical College) Pune.
They used to attend classes at Aakash Institute and later studied at the same place for the entire day. This way they remained in touch with their studies and faculty constantly. Being in touch with their teachers kept them motivated. They gave their 100% and the results have proved so. Focus and determination has worked wonders for them.
As per Bivas, their AIPMT programme is designed in such a way that students get trained for all other national entrance exams like AIIMS, AFMC, and CMC Vellore among others.
According to Chadrakant Satija, centre director of Aakash's Nagpur branch, this is the first time the city has produced such astonishing results. The institute is careful while admitting students to ensure if they can cope up with the two-year rigorous training. The institute has proved that regardless of the numerous cities where it is present, it has maintained good standards everywhere. He expressed hope that next year they will produce AIPMT selections as high as 50 from their centre.
