Saurabh Rao is new collector of Nagpur

The state government on Tuesday effected a minor reshuffle of ten IAS officers. Nagpur collector Pravin Darade has been shifted to Nagpur Improvement Trust as its chairman. He will be succeeded by Saurabh Rao, whose last posting was in Solapur as municipal commissioner.

Besides Nagpur, Gadchiroli and Yavatmal also get new district collectors. In Yavatmal, Sanjay Deshmukh will be replaced by Shravan Hardikar, who was until now holding reins of Nanded Zilla Parishad as chief executive officer. In Gadchiroli, Atul Patne will be succeeded by Abhishek Krishna, till now CEO of Gondia ZP.

The new postings of Patne, outgoing NIT chairman Sanjay Mukherjee and Deshmukh have not been specified in the official press release issued in Mumbai. Mukherjee was tipped for the sugar commissioner's post in Pune, while Deshmukh was headed for a Mantralaya posting, unofficial sources indicated.

Buldhana collector N Ramaswami has been transferred as collector of Satara but it's is not clear who will replace him in Buldhana.

Among the other IAS officers getting new posting are Raigad collector SO Sonawane who was shifted to disaster management cell of the relief and rehabilitation ministry in Mumbai. Thane ZP CEO HK Jawale will be new collector of Raigad. CEO of Pune ZP Sanjeev Kumar has been shifted as collector of Ahmednagar.
