The regional meteorological office (RMO) in city has confirmed that there is a break in monsoon and the break is likely to continue for
at least another few days. P N Nandankar, director, RMO said that although technically met office has not declared it as a ‘break’, it has hardly rained in southern and central India in past few days. "Rains may revive in central India and Vidarbha only if the present weather system developing over Bay of Bengal intensifies and moves toward re region,” Nandankar said.
Though there has been no change in the wind pattern the monsoon trough has been fluctuating and has now reached the foot hills of Himalayas. But there have been extremely subdued rains in Vidarbha for last 7-8 days and temperatures have already begun to rise. City has seen a gradual rise in temperature in last four days .
