Nagpur News :-Enforce prohibition in suicide-affected districts, says Rane

State revenue minister Narayan Rane has asked CM Ashok Chavan to enforce prohibition in all six suicide-affected districts of Vidarbha.

He gave an official letter to Chavan on Wednesday in this regard.

The Prohibition Act is already in force in one of the districts — Wardha, which falls under Nagpur revenue division. “However, consumption and sale of liquor should be banned in the five other districts, Yavatmal, Amravati, Akola, Buldhana and Washim, too, These come under the Amravati revenue division, which has witnessed maximum farmers suicides in the past few years,” Rane said.
