nagpur :- We will increase our turnover by year end: NG Thatte; PBA Infrastructure

NG Thatte, Executive Director, PBA Infrastructure Ltd. in an interview with ET Now talks about the companies quarterly results and mentions a few contracts that the company plans to take up in the future.

Let us just talk about your quarterly performance this time around because we saw a decline in the bottom line as well as the top line but a bit of an expansion in terms of your margins...If you could tell us what were the contributors this time?
What has happened is that some of the projects which were recently avoided are in the initial stage and mobilization took place. Now we have started the work in full swing and before the year end you will see that we will certainly increase our turnover.

Could you walk us through the three biggest contracts you are working on? Are they with the airports authority or the MMRDA and what kind of payments from these big contracts do you expect in the next quarter, that particular quarter that we are running right now?

As far as Airport authority is concerned there is no difficult about payments. We are being paid quite regularly. We have recently been declared L1, in a contract of Rs 90 crore floated by the Nagpur Urban Development Authority, MADC.

We have taken a contract from Oriental Structural for about Rs 200 crore at Nagpur and there is no difficulty there either. We are also executing a work on the NH17 and there are a few problems which were there but now the work is in very good progress. We are now quoting for contracts over Rs 1500 crore and we hope we will succeed in the near future.

So, in this particular month have you been awarded any contracts? Has any new contract have been awarded to you?

As I told you we have been declared L1 in two contracts; one by MIDC Nagpur and other by MADC Nagpur and we are hoping to be awarded a few awards in the very near future. We are already negotiating with a big company for their work in Rajasthan

Have you considered getting into a BOT mode which means actually bidding for contracts yourself and running the concession..

In fact most of the work that is coming up is in BOT and we are certainly quoting for mainly BOT work because nowadays with EPC contracts are not many.
