AP youths die in hit-and-run mishap

In the last eight days, city cops have reported five deaths in road accidents. In yet another hit-and-run mishap, two youths from Warangal district in Andhra Pradesh were killed by a four-wheeler at Somalwada Square on Friday night. Kishore Velpulla and Kalmuddin Basha had come to city on Thursday night with the former's elder brother Kiran.

Kishore died on the spot while Kalmuddin lost his life on way to the hospital. The mishap occurred when an unidentified speeding truck tried to overtake the duo's bike, but lost control and dashed it. Kishore was riding the bike. He came under the rear wheels of the truck while Kalmuddin was thrown far away due to the impact.

Sonegaon police rushed to the spot and cleared the traffic jam. From the driving licence found in Kishore's pocket, the cops informed the victim's family members.

Around twenty days ago, Kishore and Kiran had lost their sister. After performing the last rites, the brothers had returned from their native place. Kiran, a Centre Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan, joined duty while Kishore and his friends stayed at a friend's house in Hingna.

"Since Kiran's was not well and had not eaten anything, a worried Kishore went with his friend to get something," said Kiran's friend.

"Kishore talked to me at 8.30 pm and told me that he will reach in fifteen minutes. He promised to have dinner together," said Kiran.

The youngest of three siblings, Kiran fell unconscious on seeing the body of his elder brother.

Four months ago, the brothers had tied the knot on the same day at their native place. Kishore had done his MCA and was about to join a new company in Warangul while Kalmuddin was pursuing his B.Com studies.
