chairperson Vijaysheela Sardesai told TOI on Thursday that it would be declared probably in the first or second week of June, but before the 10th.
"We will declare the results when all our eight divisions are ready with the valuation. Generally, the results are announced in the first week, so there is no point disturbing the schedule. According to Supreme Court guidelines, we have to announce results before June 10,'' she said. In the past two years, the HSC results were announced on June 7 and that of SSC on June 26.
However, chairman of state board's Mumbai division Shridhar Salunkhe told TOI that there was a possibility of the results being put up earlier, but it depended on when all the eight divisions would finish evaluating the papers.
More than 11.84 lakh students had appeared in the HSC exams from 1,830 centres, while 16 lakh had appeared for the SSC exams from 3,693 centres across the state this year.
