regional centres at Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad and Nagpur. Over 7,300 seats in medical (MBBS), dental (BDS), ayurveda (BAMS), Unani, homeopathy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and nursing are up for grabs in about 55 institutions.
The Directorate of Medical Education and Research released the schedule on Friday. DMER director Dr WB Tayyade saidlike every year, the centralised admission process will start with the first round of filling up of preference forms available at four regional centres in state including Government Medical College (GMC) in Nagpur from 9am on July 3. GMC, Nagpur, will cater to students from Nagpur, Akola, Washim, Yavatmal, Amravati, Wardha, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Bhandara and Gondia districts. A total of 38 medical, 30 dental and 54 Ayurveda colleges would take part in the process.
Out of over 7,300 seats of health sciences, 4,305 are medical (MBBS) seats, 2,430 are dental (BDS) and 655 are ayurveda (BAMS) seats. There are 6935 pharmacy seats.
