Just on Monday, union heavy industries minister Vilasrao Deshmukh had expressed his party’s intention to maintain an alliance with united Republican factions. State BJP president Nitin Gadkari, addressing a media meet at Ravi Bhavan on Tuesday, indicated that his party would also want an alliance with Republican factions before the assembly elections slated to be held in October.
“Congress has misled the Dalits and betrayed them. We want all the factions of RPI to come together and form a front with us. Talks regarding such alliance are being contemplated," he said.
