ndia have job on hand in first session

Despite turbulent times going into the series, the tourists had a few plans up their sleeves and executed them brilliantly on day-one of the Nagpur Test. India had their foot in within the first seven overs but failed to slam open the door.
If Test match is about winning sessions then India need must win the first session of the second day to keep themselves in the hunt. The challenge for skipper MS Dhoni and his bowlers will be to make early in roads into the middle order and try to polish off at least three wickets before lunch.
The only way of achieving it is to attack a lot more from the start. Dhoni and his men will have to make things happen rather than waiting for things to happen. Not only bowlers have to go all out and attack, the fielders have to be sharp and need to convert those half-chances.
The ball is still new and strike bowlers Zaheer Khan and Ishant Sharma have to make that early breakthrough.
India’s chief spinner Harbhajan Singh must rediscover his rhythm and his line. Perhaps, the line for him is off and middle rather than middle and leg, which he bowled on day-one. He is devastating when he releases the ball a tad slowly and gives the ball more air. Bhajji’s role will be crucial for he is truly a match winner who is going through a bad patch.
