The poor results have compounded problems of Nagpur divisional board already facing criticism over not publishing names of state and division-wise toppers.
This was preceded by confusion over dates of declaration of results and even the names of websites were announced just 12 hours prior to results being out. With all this, state board's maiden attempt to release result online lost quite a bit of sheen.
The overall results of Nagpur division decreased to 69.74% from last year's 73.67%. Out of 1,59,575 students who appeared for the exam, including repeaters, 1,11,600 passed. There were 1,39,649 freshers of whom 1,03,559 passed with a passing percentage 74.16. Out of 19,926 repeaters, 8,041 cleared it with a pass percentage 40.35. The general trend in pass percentage has shown a drop this year.
