nagpur :- CR engineer takes ill after 'dressing down'

Central Railway, went to receive the CME. However, over a trivial issue he gave dressing down to SSE P S Kedar (54). Unable to bear the humiliation in front of all the officials, Kedar complained of uneasiness and collapsed on the spot. Kedar was immediately shifted to the nearby Central Railway Hospital where he is still undergoing treatment.

PRO Y K Singh told TOI, "Sharma has denied scolding Kedar." However, some mechanical department officials told TOI that Sharma had told them that Kedar was in the hospital owing to dressing down.

The C&W employees blamed Sharma for the mess. They alleged that employees are under tremendous work pressure. A large number of vacancies are not being filled over the years and more work is being done from less number of employees, following which many trains are being poorly maintained.


Tower wagon derails

A tower wagon derailed between Aamgaon and Dhanoli stations in the Gondia-Durg section under the South East Central Railway (SECR). The incident took place at 10.20am on Friday. Sr DCM SM Gondane said a relief train was summoned immediately for re-railment work. The train traffic was brought to normal at 1.40pm. Due to derailment, a couple of trains including 2410 Gondwana Express was delayed by an hour.
