Mystery shrouds the death of a 50-year-old man whose body was found at his home locked from outside. The deceased Rajesh Yadav's body was noticed by neighbours after foul smell spread from his home.
According to police, Yadav, a driver, had last gone to his duty on Saturday and returned in evening. His parents had expired a few years ago while his estranged wife lived separately. Neighbours said that Yadav was staying alone. His elder sister lived at Chandramani Nagar. Police suspect that either he died of poisoning or may have been strangled to death. Police said that the body bore no injuries except light bruises on the neck.
A neighbour Chunnibai Lodhi, gathered others and managed to open window of Yadav's house to see Yadav's lying on the bed. Sensing trouble, the residents informed the cops who broke open the door to recover the body. "We are awaiting post-mortem report and have registered the case as accidental death," said a cop from Ajni police station.
