"Four men, aged 19 and 20 years, were arrested on Sunday night following a complaint registered by the victim. They were presented in the court on Monday and remanded to police custody," senior police inspector Prakash Bele told reporters.
The accused have been identified as Amit Patil, Satish Mishra, Rahul Nagpurkar and Praveen Moon.
"Patil had an affair with the victim. The victim had, however, broken up with him and was allegedly in love with some other man. This angered Patil and pushed him to kidnap the girl," Bele said.
Patil, along with his three friends, took the victim to a deserted place 20 km from Nagpur Saturday night and gangraped her. They later brought her back to Nagpur and dropped her on a deserted road.
"But later Mishra and Moon kidnapped her again and raped her repeatedly," Bele said.
Bele said that the accused confessed after they were arrested.
