Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has deferred publishing of its final merit list for first year engineering admissions by three days apparently due to large-scale grievances received from the students. The list will now be out on July 10. The schedule of counselling rounds under Centralised Admission Process (CAP) will also be declared on same date.
The directorate had earlier put out the provisional merit list on its website on July 2 and had invited corrections from the candidates on July 3 and 4 about names, date of birth, and sports quota marks. They had announced that they will be releasing the final merit list on Tuesday on its website. However, when students rushed to see the list, they were left disappointed.
