The week is likely to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies. The regional meteorological office in the city has predicted maximum and minimum temperatures at 31 and 18 degrees respectively. At 22 degrees, the minimum temperature on Sunday and Monday was four degrees above normal.
Met office director Vijay Barapatre told TOI that though there could be some rains at isolated places and the sky would generally remain cloudy. "There is a system over Rayalseema in Andhra Pradesh. Due to this, the next two days could be cloudy without rains or rain at few places in the region," he said.
Winter comes to Central India only with northerly or north-easterly winds. But at present the winds are southwesterly. If the wind direction changes, the temperature could fall and go down to 25-16 degrees Celsius. However, a fall in temperature would occur only after the sky clears. The signs of such a situation are still not apparent.
