Thief who invests in real estate

City cops have come across an interesting situation, where a thief arrested by them had invested in a plot after stealing valuables from a household. The accused Shyam Lilhare (24) had paid 1 lakh to a realtor to book the plot after disposing off the valuables he had stolen. The cops have now recovered the cash too.

Lilhare was nabbed by Sonegaon police who recovered stolen gold, silver and other valuables worth more than 1 lakh from him.

During interrogation, Lilhare admitted to having stolen these valuables from a house at Sahakar Nagar in September. Police said that Lilhare had decamped with the valuables from the residence of Pankaj Kallurwar while his wife was not at home.

The police team has already recovered several other valuables from Lilhare but later on they learnt about his investment in a plot at Bhilgaon. Sonegaon cops have so far recovered valuables and cash worth over Rs 2.16 lakh from Lilhare.
