A suspected swine flu patient from Germany was admitted to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) here today.
The patient is a 17-year girl student from Germany visiting the city under a student exchange programme of Rotary Club.
Though the girl did not have any apparent symptoms of swine flu, she got herself admitted to the hospital because a friend of her who came with her from Germany to India found to be suffering from symptoms of swine flu.
The hospital authorities said that they will be sending the blood samples for test to National Institute of Virology (NIV), Pune. This is the fifth suspected case of swine flu admitted to GMC so far. But no one has been found positive of till now.
