The second leg of the World Cup warm-ups resumed on Tuesday with Zimbabwe taking on Ireland here. Zimbabwe skipper Elton Chigumbura won the toss and had no hesitation in batting first.
Both the teams lost their first warm-up game to formidable opponents. But while Zimbabwe surrendered tamely to South Africa, the Irish team almost sprung a surprise against New Zealand, losing by just 32 runs in the end.

Zimbabwe would want their batsmen to rise to the occasion and get some runs under their belt before the tournament begins. On the other hand, the Irish team will look forward to a good outing for their bowlers who went for a plenty against the Kiwis.
