The Nagpur bench of Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal (MAT) on Tuesday disposed of the contempt plea against state principal secretary of school education and sports Sanjay Kumar after he personally appeared before the tribunal.
He also filed a copy of fresh affidavit where he had deleted the objectionable words as pointed out by the tribunal's division bench comprising vice-chairman justice Kishor Rohee and administrative member B Mujumdar.
Kumar confirmed with TOI that he had filed a fresh affidavit in the Bombay high court regarding the contempt case and also submitted its copy to the MAT bench on Tuesday after which the contempt plea, filed by chairman of divisional board of secondary and higher secondary education Shridhar Salunkhe, was disposed of. Salunkhe had filed contempt plea before the tribunal over an affidavit Kumar had filed in High Court in a case pertaining to change in Salunkhe's date of birth.
