Mumbai University vice-chancellor Rajan Velukar and Nagpur University spoke highly of San Tukdoji Maharaj at a function held on Saturday to celebrate the teachings of the saint.

We have to ensure that the environment is not harmed due to the technological advances being made." "Sustainable living was suggested centuries ago in simple language by Tukdoji in his books. It clearly speaks of living a life without spoiling the state of the ecosystem," he added.
Velukar wanted Nagpur University, which is named after the saint, to post his teachings on its website so that people are acquainted with the "idea of living with the spirit of brotherhood and developing the society and making sure that the inevitable change takes place but not at the cost of any person or nature".
